User types: carriers, customers, and employees

The modules and screens that you can use, and the tasks that you can perform, depend on the type of user you log in as: carrier, customer, or employee.

Topics in this document identify the user who can use or perform a module or task. For example:

• Load Build Module (Employee): Only employees can use this module.
• Load Confirmation (Carrier): Only carriers and employees can perform this task. See the following note.
• To change a shipping location (Customer/Employee): Only customers and employees can do this task.

If all three user types can use a particular function, (All) is displayed at the end of the topic heading.

Note: Employees can be authorized to all Transportation Manager functions and modules, even those that are targeted for customers or carriers. Consequently, even if employees are not explicitly noted as being authorized in the heading for a topic, they can view this help topic.
