Harmonized Tariff
A tariff that uses the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System, an international system used to classify goods.
Hazardous Materials
A designation assigned to a product to indicate that it is hazardous.
Head Load
Head Loads are interleaved multi-stop loads that include a stop at a hub operated by the carrier handling the load. These loads will be created when goods from multiple origins are being shipped through a hub to a single destination. At the hub, the shipments at the head (or nose) of the trailer will not be unloaded, eliminating applicable unloading and reloading charges associated with these goods. Shipments closer to the door of the trailer will be unloaded and replaced with other shipments moving to the same destination as the "head load" shipments.
