Legend of icons

Note: These icons are only used by Transportation Manager Web user interface.

  • Suppress Navigation Frame: This icon appears at the top of all Transportation Manager screens when the Navigation Frame is currently being presented. Use this icon to suppress or hide the Navigation Frame and provide an additional space for the current screen.
  • Show Navigation Frame: This icon appears at the top of all Transportation Manager screens when the Navigation Frame is currently being suppressed or hidden. Use this icon to display the Navigation Frame and decrease the amount of space for the current screen.
  • Page Level Help: This icon will provide user access to the page in the web user guide for the current page. This icon will appear in the upper right hand corner of each screen.
  • Refresh: This icon can be used to update data on a screen. It can be used in several ways:
    • When presented to the right of a field, it will typically be used to reestablish defaults based on the profile for the applicable entity. Sometimes, this will only refresh the corresponding name or description. In other cases, it may also refresh other fields on the same page (e.g. Refresh for Carrier ID on Freight Bill page will trigger refresh of Currency based on the Carrier's Currency).
    • When presented for a section, it will trigger re-refresh of all fields in the section.
    • When presented to the right of the Drop-Down list at the top of a list, the Refresh icon can be used to force the list to be refreshed after the user has selected one of the available Saved Searches from the list.
  • Refresh list: This icon is displayed on all read only grids to allow you to refresh data without having to exit and re-enter the page.
  • Identify Number of Pages for List: This icon appears at the top of most lists in Transportation Manager. A count of rows selected for the current page will always be included in the Search Results row that is presented at the top of each list. This icon can be used to get a count of the number of pages that would be required to present all rows that satisfy the current selection criteria.
  • Date Picker: This icon will direct user to a utility that facilitates the selection of a date. This icon will be presented to the immediate right of any input capable date field.
  • Date and Time Picker (NOW): This icon allows you to populate the current system date and time in many of the input capable date and date/time fields.
  • Note: If the date or date/time is expected in location time zone context, the system date/time is converted. For example, When the Confirm PickUp operation is performed for a load stop whose origin location has a Time Zone Offset value as +3 hours, system date/time as 12/03/2012 16:00 hours, the NOW icon populates the Actual Shipping Date/Time as 12/03/2012 19:00 hours.

  • Yellow Alert: This icon will appear in the list of Alerts in the Proactive Monitoring module when the applicable transaction has reached the second most serious error category. This icon will also appear on the rate shop list when a tender for the applicable tariff/service combination has previously been issued and was either rejected by the carrier or canceled by an employee.
  • Red Alert: This icon will appear in the list of Alerts in the Proactive Monitoring module when the applicable transaction has reached the most serious error category. This icon will also appear on the rate shop list when the applicable tariff/service combination is the one that is currently selected and a tender has previously been issued and was either rejected by the carrier or canceled by an employee.
  • List Customization: Most lists allow authorized users to customize the appearance of the screen. This icon will direct user to a page where you can select and sequence columns, control sort sequencing and pagination. When available, this icon will appear in the toolbar at the top of the list on the right-hand side.
  • Page Screen Element Configuration: Any user that is authorized to the system-provided Environment module on the navigation pad will be able to use this icon from most screens to access the Page Screen Element Configuration page which will allow user to customization presentation of the current page for some or all users. When available, this icon will be presented in the upper right hand corner of the page.
  • Re-sequence List Using Selected Column: This icon will accompany each of the column headers on all lists in Transportation Manager. When selected, overrides will be applied using the sorting criteria for the applicable list so that rows currently being presented are re-sequenced based on the contents of the selected column. Once a column has been selected, the icon will be replaced by or , indicating that if re-sequencing is performed again for the same column, rows will be presented in the opposite sequence (e.g. if currently ascending, rows will be presented in descending sequence).
  • Drop-Down List: This icon will present user with a list of potential values. Drop-Down lists on property pages are used for fields where there are relatively few possible values. Drop-Down lists on Search pages are used when there are only two potential choices.
  • Multiple Selection Drop-Down List: This icon will allow user to selection multiple values from a Drop-Down list. This icon will be used on Search pages for fields where there could logically be more than two possible values.
  • Hidden Selection Criteria Exists: For all search pages in Transportation Manager, if any filter criteria exists for any field in a section that is collapsed by default, this icon will be presented in the section header to highlight the existence of "hidden" filter criteria.
  • Export to Spreadsheet: This icon can be used to export data for the current list to a spreadsheet (e.g. Excel). When available, this icon will appear in the toolbar at the top of the list on the right-hand side.
  • View Details: This icon can be used to access a separate page with applicable details. For example:
    • On Shipment Detail and Rate Calculator pages, it can be used to access a list where a breakdown of weights by individual freight classes can be supplied. This breakdown is required to establish rate for carriers whose tariff rates are freight class specific.
    • On Property pages for major setup entities, it can be used to access the Address page.
  • Search (magnifying glass): This icon is used to trigger search in two distinct manners:
    • Most lists allow users to define selection criteria. The Search icon is used to navigate to the corresponding Search screen where selection criteria can be defined. When available, this icon will appear in the toolbar at the top of the list on the right-hand side.
    • The Search icon presented for most text fields representing an ID or Code can be used to access the Secondary Search utility for the applicable entity.
  • Horizontal Scroll Bar: If there are more columns in a list than can be viewed on your screen, use the horizontal scroll bar in the list to move left and right through the columns in the list. You can also use the blue left-pointing and right-pointing buttons on either side of the scroll bar to immediately navigate to the leftmost or rightmost portion of the list.
  • Paging Controls: The paging controls are presented at the bottom of each list. If there are more items in a list than can be viewed on your screen:
    • Use the next and previous () arrows to move through the list screen by screen.
    • Use the first () and last () arrows to move to the first page or last page.
    • Note: The Last arrow icon will only be enabled after the Total Count icon has been clicked or the last page has previously been reached in the current session.

    • Enter the desired page number in the text box and press the Jump button to navigate to a specific page.
    • Note: The text box and Jump button are enabled only when you click the icon on a page.

  • Selected/Processed: This icon is displayed on various pages:
    • When displayed on the rate shop list and rate calculator results pages, indicates that the applicable tariff/service combination is the one that is currently selected.
    • When displayed on the Trailer Activities page, indicates that the operation has been processed.
  • Edited Row: This icon is displayed on the editable grids to indicate that the row has been edited or changed.
  • Update Rows: This icon can be used on the editable grids that can be used to define batch update criteria for tariff rates. When this icon is clicked, the value from the corresponding field will be applied to all rows in the applicable column.
  • Highlight Dock Commitments: Allows you to define a criteria to display the specific dock commitments on the Gantt Chart.
