Split an itinerary step (Customer/Employee)
Use the following procedure to split a single itinerary step into two steps.
You cannot split an itinerary step if:
- The shipment is designated as Ship Direct.
- All of the shipment's itinerary steps are attached to loads.
- The itinerary step has a status of Selected for Optimization or higher.
- The shipment is suspended, on hold, or attached to a plan of which you are not the owner.
- Perform one of the following tasks:
- Display a shipment’s itinerary (Customer).
- Display a shipment’s itinerary (Employee).
- Select an itinerary step.
- Click Split. If the action is allowed, the Split Shipment Itinerary screen is displayed.
- Enter any necessary information.
- Click Submit. The two itinerary steps resulting from the split are displayed.
