Container
If the Data Accumulation Level for a master condition/option is Container, rating will be performed separately for each individual container associated with the transaction:
- For shipments or shipment legs, rating will be performed for each container associated with the shipment.
- For loads, rating will be performed for each container for each shipment attached to the load.
- For trips, rating will be performed for each shipment attached to each load on the trip.
- For Rate Quotation requests via API, rating will be performed for each container defined as part of the request.
- For Rate Calculator requests via the web UI and for non-operational freight transactions (NOF), there will be a single container associated with transaction.
A separate charge will be computed for each container.
In the event that multiple charge details are computed for a single tariff charge, supersede is performed based on the sum of all related rows. If a tariff charge with multiple charge details is superseded, each charge detail will be eliminated.
When Data Accumulation Level is Container, the Unit Type and Look-Up Units (if specified) must be one of the following:
- Weight
- Volume
- Order Value
- Declared Value
- Longest Side
- Second Longest Side
- Shortest Side
- Size (a.k.a. Girth)
- Flexible Quantity 1 - Flexible Quantity 5
Identical restrictions will be imposed for any of the Net Effect Calculation controls (tariff charge).
