Create Trip (Employee)
Use this screen to create a trip. Specify two or more eligible loads. Loads are sequenced on the new trip in the order in which they are displayed.
If the operation is triggered from a list of loads, the Load IDs from the selected list are established as default values. Secondary search functionality allows multiple loads to be returned in a single action from the secondary search for loads page.
This page supports separate Submit/Finish and Submit/Manage Trip buttons.
- Submit/Finish creates the trip and return the browser to the page from which the Create Trip operation was triggered.
- Submit/Manage Trip creates the trip and directs the browser to the List of Loads Assigned to a Trip for the newly created trip. The Return button on this list returns you to the list from which the Create Trip button was initially requested.
If Allow Trip Override to Load Hard Commit is enabled in Global Settings - Controls - Workflow tab, then Trip level Carrier, Service, Tractor Equipment Type and Tractor Domicile fields will be editable, even when any are marked ast Hard Committed on at least one associated Load.
If Keep Prior Rating Results is not selected in Global Settings – Controls – Rating and Scheduling tab, Load-level routing/rating/scheduling results are destroyed when the Create Trip operation is successfully performed.
Trip-level routing/rating/scheduling is not performed when the trip is created. Trip rating is available as a separate operation.
