Domicile Vehicle Availability fields
- Vehicle ID: The Vehicle ID is mandatory. Transportation Planner will suffix the Vehicle ID when the Number of Vehicles is greater than 1, (for example, VehicleID_1, VehicleID_2, … VehicleID_n). When Number of Vehicles is 1, this could refer to a specific Vehicle ID; when Number of Vehicles is greater than 1, this will refer to a resource pool.
- Equipment Type: The Equipment Type. It is mandatory and must be defined for at least one of the tariff service combinations for the carrier that owns the domicile.
- Availability Start Date/Time: The date/time that equipment at the domicile becomes available for use. If not specified, this implicitly refers to the earliest possible date/time.
- Must Start By Date/Time: The date and time by which you must start using this vehicle. When undefined it represents any date/time. For example, a vehicle might be available any time between 6 am and midnight on a given date but it must start between 6 am and 10 am on that date; in this case, the Must Start By Date/Time would be 10 am on that date.
- Must End By Date/Time: The date and time by which the utilization of this vehicle must end.
- Maximum Duration: This defines how long a vehicle can stay out once it starts. For example, a vehicle might be available any time between 6 am and midnight on a given date; if it has a maximum duration of 10 hours, it can be used for any ten consecutive hours between 6 am and midnight.
- Allow Reuse: Indicates whether the equipment can be reused at the conclusion of a load or trip. If a load or trip is sent back to Optimizer for re-planning and this load/trip references a Vehicle ID/ Sequence, this occurrence of the Vehicle ID cannot be assigned to any other new or existing load/trip.
- Delay Hours Between Reuse: When equipment is available for reuse, equipment will not be available for assignment to a subsequent load or trip until a minimum of xx.xx hours have elapsed after the scheduled conclusion of the preceding load or trip. This duration is expressed in hours and decimal portions thereof.
- Use Penalty for Vehicle Count: Indicates whether the Penalty Per Vehicle Count Violation is enabled.
- Penalty Per Vehicle Count Violation: The penalty cost (expressed in base system currency) that will be incurred per vehicle if the Number of Vehicles quantity is exceeded.
- Number of Vehicles: Number of vehicles in this resource pool. When Vehicle ID represents an actual asset, the Number of Vehicles should be 1; when Vehicle ID refers to a resource pool, the Number of Vehicles can be equal or greater than 1.
- Target Duration: Indicates the target duration for optimizer to build loads or trips that drivers can handle in a single shift, minimizing driver overtime. A value 0 indicates no constraint.
- Penalty Per Hour Over Target Duration: Indicates the penalty cost per hour over the specified target duration (in system currency).
Note: This field is not editable when the Allow Reuse check box is selected.
