Equipment capacity degradation fields
Equipment Type
This section provides information about the ID and description for an equipment type. Capacity degradation cannot be defined for equipment types where the Equipment Category is Tractor. For more information, see Equipment Type fields.
Equipment capacity degradation must indicate an existing equipment type.
Origin/Destination
This section provides information about the origin and destination applicable to this equipment type degradation. Fields include location ID, location type, address and notes. For more information, see Shipping Location fields.
Origin and destination population is optional. When blank, the corresponding endpoint is interpreted as applicable to ‘all locations’. When populated, equipment capacity degradation is applicable only when the specified location is the corresponding endpoint.
Conditions
This section provides information about conditions defined for equipment capacity degradation.
- Degradation Type: Unit by which capacity degradation is calculated for the equipment type. Supported values are: Pallets, Pieces, Weight, Volume, Loading Percentage and All.
- Active: Specifies the status of the selected equipment capacity degradation. Inactive entries will not be applied.
- Minimum Number of Drop Stops: Least number of drop stops a load using the equipment type must have before the maximum utilization factor will apply.
- Maximum Number of Drop Stops: Highest number of drop stops a load using the defined equipment type must have before the maximum percent utilization factor ceases to apply.
- Minimum Number of Items: Least number of items a load using the defined equipment type must have before the maximum percent utilization factor will apply.
- Maximum Number of Items: Highest number of items a load using the defined equipment type must have before the maximum percent utilization factor ceases to apply.
- Minimum Number of Loading Types: Least number of loading types a load using the defined equipment type must have before the maximum utilization factor will apply.
- Maximum Number of Loading Types: Highest number of loading types a load using the defined equipment type must have before the maximum utilization factor will apply.
- Maximum Percent Utilization: When the equipment capacity degradation qualifies based on number of drop stops, items and loading types as well as origin/destination location, this value will define the maximum percentage of the actual capacity of the trailer that can be used. If multiple rows in the equipment capacity degradation qualify, the lowest of these percentages will constrain the routing process. See Equipment percentage utilization factor.
Note: If the OptParameter Exclude3DItemsFromLoadingPctConstraint is True , then equipment capacity degradation constraints will apply only to the percentage of the trailer that is being loaded with shipment details where the Is 3D Loading Required flag is False.
