Lane Control Information

  • Division: The division for the lane association. Mandatory. If Division is defined for tariff, must be equal. Cannot be modified in Update mode. Combination of Division, Commodity, Service, Lane Template ID, Origin and Destination uniquely defines the lane. Lane can only be used to route a transaction (load, trip, shipment, shipment leg, NOF, rate quotation) with a matching Division.
  • Status: The lane status: Active, Active for Financial Rating, Blocked, or Inactive. Rate Code is optional when status is "Blocked". Typically, a "Blocked" lane would be created to exclude some of the area covered by a more generic lane in "Active" status. Inactive lanes are ignored by routing. "Active for Financial Rating" lanes are treated as inactive on rated objects where Financial Status is 'Ineligible'; treated as active for all other Financial Statuses.
  • Service ID: Optional. Cannot be modified in Update mode. Must be one of the Services enabled for the current tariff. If specified, lane can only be used to route a transaction using the applicable service on the tariff. If not specified, lane could be used for any service on the tariff.
  • Commodity Code: Optional. Cannot be modified in Update mode. Must refer to a value Commodity. If specified, lane can only be used to route a load, trip, shipment leg, etc. where Commodity equals the designated value.
  • Lane Template ID: Optional. Cannot be modified in Update mode. Must refer to a value Lane Template. If specified, lane can only be used to route a load where the intermediate stops match the sequence of shipping locations defined for the designated Lane Template. Cannot be used for a routing request for any other routable entity. Not applicable for customer tariffs.
  • Intermediate Stops: Not editable. If a Lane Template ID is specified, this will present the total number of intermediate stops defined by the Lane Template.
