List of Divisions (Employee)

A division is a distinct business unit within your organization. A division will be assigned to each shipment, load, freight bill, etc. Shipments from different divisions cannot be combined onto the same load.

In the Division folder, you set up codes and descriptions for the divisions your company uses. These codes are used in combination with logistics group codes to determine the Logistics Grouping that forms part of the identifying information for users and business entities.

By default, the list is sorted in ascending order by Division ID.

Address for the Division is optional. If an Address is defined for the Division, the Name and Address on the default versions of the Tender and Master Bill of Lading documents will reflect the Name and Address for the Division. Otherwise, the Name and Address one these documents will contain the Company Name and Address, as defined in the Global Settings.

Operations

  • Alternate Language Names: Displays the list of the names for the active user locales other than the default language of Transportation Manager. For more information, see Contacts (Employee).
  • Contacts: See Contacts (Employee).
  • Delete: Deletes the selected division.
  • Duplicate: Creates a copy of the selected division. The memos and contacts associated with the existing division will be duplicated for the new division.
  • Last Numbers: See Division – Last Numbers (Employee).
  • Memo: See Memo (All).
  • New: Creates a division.
  • Properties: Displays the properties of the selected division.
  • Work with Address: See Work with Address (Customer/Employee).
