List of Pallet Volume Factors (Employee)

This page allows you to manage Pallet Volume Factors. A Pallet Volume Factor defines the relationship between volume and pallets for the combination of an origin location, a destination location, and a commodity. Each of the locations and the commodity are optional.

A Pallet Volume Factor is used to calculate the estimated number of pallets which a given volume of transportable goods will require. The Factors are applied by the Transport Order Consolidation job type when creating a Shipment from a Transport Order Consolidation Group. The most exact definition (the one which best matches the origin, destination, and commodity) will be used when computing the estimated number of pallets. Once the most exact definition is found, the volume of the transportable goods will be divided by the factor defined to determine the estimated pallet count.
