Validate Mappings

The Validate Mappings functionality verifies whether the entities in LP are correctly mapped with the entities in TM. It provides information on the number of mapped items and unmapped items for every entity.

Work with unmapped items in Carrier

  1. From the Map Bid Entities menu option, select Validate Mappings. The Validation Report pane is displayed.
  2. Click the hyperlinked value in the Unmapped Items column (corresponding to Carrier in the Mapping Table column). A pane is displayed that provides detailed information about the unmapped items.
  3. To map a Carrier entity in LP to its equivalent entity in Transportation Manager, perform the following steps:
    1. In the TM Carrier ID field, click the Carrier Picker icon. The Carrier Picker window is displayed.
    2. Select the required value and click OK. The Carrier Picker window is closed.
    3. Click Submit. Validation is done and status is displayed in the Validation Status column.
  4. To delete a carrier mapping, select the check box adjacent to a row and click Delete.

Work with unmapped items in Zone/Hub

  1. From the Map Bid Entities menu option, select Validate Mappings. The Validation Report pane is displayed.
  2. Click the hyperlinked value in the Unmapped Items column (corresponding to Zone or Hub in the Mapping Table column). A pane is displayed that provides detailed information about the unmapped items.
  3. To map a Location entity in LP to its equivalent Zone or Hub entity in TM, perform the following steps:
    1. In the TM Zone ID field, click the Zone Picker icon. The Zone Picker window is displayed.
    2. Select the required value and click OK. The Zone Picker window is closed.
    3. In the TM Hub ID field, click the Hub Picker icon. The Hub Picker window is displayed.
    4. Select the required value and click OK. The Hub Picker window is closed.
    5. Click Submit. Validation is done and status is displayed in the Validation Status column.
  4. To delete a zone/hub mapping, select the check box adjacent to a row and click Delete.

Work with unmapped items in Service

From the Map Bid Entities menu option, select Validate Mappings. The Validation Report pane is displayed.

  1. Click the hyperlinked value in the Unmapped Items column (corresponding to Service in the Mapping Table column). A pane is displayed that provides detailed information about the unmapped items.
  2. To map a Service Group entity in LP to its equivalent entity in TM, perform the following steps:
    1. In the TM Service ID field, click the Service Picker icon. The Service Picker window is displayed.
    2. Select the required value and click OK. The Service Picker window is closed.
    3. Click Submit. Validation is done and status is displayed in the Validation Status column.
  3. To delete a service mapping, select the check box adjacent to a row and click Delete.

Work with unmapped items in Equipment Type

From the Map Bid Entities menu option, select Validate Mappings. The Validation Report pane is displayed.

  1. Click the hyperlinked value in the Unmapped Items column (corresponding to Equipment Type in the Mapping Table column). A pane is displayed that provides detailed information about the unmapped items.
  2. To map an Equipment Group/Equipment Type combination in LP to its equivalent entity in TM, perform the following steps:
    1. In the TM Equipment Type ID field, click the Equipment Type Picker icon. The Equipment Type Picker window is displayed.
    2. Select the required value and click OK. The Equipment Type Picker window is closed.
    3. Click Submit. Validation is done and status is displayed in the Validation Status column.
  3. To delete an equipment type mapping, select the check box adjacent to a row and click Delete.

Work with unmapped items in Charge

From the Map Bid Entities menu option, select Validate Mappings. The Validation Report pane is displayed.

  1. Click the hyperlinked value in the Unmapped Items column (corresponding to Charge in the Mapping Table column). A pane is displayed that provides detailed information about the unmapped items.
  2. To map a Service Level entity in LP to its equivalent Charge entity in TM, perform the following steps:
    1. In the TM Charge ID field, click the Charge Picker icon. The Charge Picker window is displayed.
    2. Select the required value and click OK. The Charge Picker window is closed.
    3. In the TM charge Priority field, enter a required value.
    4. In the TM Range Code field, click the Range Code Picker icon. The Range Code Picker window is displayed.
    5. Select the required range code and click OK. The Range Code Picker window is closed.
    6. In the TM Range To field, click the Range To Picker icon. The Range To Picker window is displayed.
    7. Select the required range to value and click OK. The Range To Picker window is closed.
    8. Click Submit. Validation is done and status is displayed in the Validation Status column.
  3. To delete a charge mapping, select the check box adjacent to a row and click Delete.

Work with unmapped items in Freight Class

  1. From the Map Bid Entities menu option, select Validate Mappings. The Validation Report pane is displayed.

  2. Click the hyperlinked value in the Unmapped Items column (corresponding to Freight Class in the Mapping Table column). A pane is displayed that provides detailed information about the unmapped items.

  3. To map a Freight Class entity in LP to its rating freight class in Transportation Manager, perform the following steps:

    1. In the TM Freight Class Code field, click the Freight Class Picker icon. The Carrier Picker window is displayed.

    2. Select the required value and click OK. The Carrier Picker window is closed.

    3. Click Submit. Validation is done and status is displayed in the Validation Status column.

  4. To delete a Freight Class mapping, select the check box adjacent to a row and click Delete.
