Skeleton Route - Transportation Smartbench

The skeleton route is a setup entity that represents a specific sequence of stops a planner has decided is best to service frequently recurring freight. While a skeleton route does not identify a specific set of shipments to be serviced on the route, its definition provides information to support the generation of empty loads and stops to be used as “load shell” input to the optimizer indicating minimal requirements to assist in selecting eligible shipments for these stops. In addition, skeleton route definitions support options to pre-assign tractor / trailer domiciles, carrier, service, and tractor / trailer equipment types.

See Skeleton Route - Fields, Skeleton Location - Fields, and Asset fields for more information on each field.
