Validation

User will be required to supply exactly two Dock Commitment IDs before the Submit button can be selected from the Swap Dock Commitments screen.

The following validation will be performed for the two selected dock commitments:

  • User must be authorized to update both of the dock commitments. See Restrictions by user group.
  • Both of the selected dock commitments must refer to a dock at the same shipping location.
  • Both of the selected dock commitments must refer to the same Division and Logistics Group.
  • The two IDs cannot refer to the same dock commitment.
  • If the Restricted Start Times for Dock Commitments flag in the Global Settings is True, the Start Time for each Dock Commitment must be eligible at the other dock. For example, if one dock allows start times every half hour but the other dock only allows start times on the hour, a request to swap a dock commitment that starts on the half hour to the dock where times must start on the hour will fail.
  • Both dock commitments must otherwise be eligible to be accessed in Edit mode from the Dock Commitment Properties page. See Dock Commitment fields.

An employee user can swap dock commitments assigned to different carriers.
