With or Without Charges

Depending on the Carrier associated with the freight bill, the Freight Bill Details may be entered with or without charge level information:

• If the Carrier has been configured with the flag Freight Bill Detail Charges Required set to False, then the Freight Bill Detail can be entered with or without charge level information. If detail charges are entered, they serve as information only and are not summed to the freight bill detail header total amount. In this case, you must provide the freight bill detail Total Amount.
• If the Carrier has been configured with the flag Freight Bill Detail Charges Required set to True, then the Freight Bill Detail must be entered with charge level information (that is, charge details must be specified). In this case, the sum of charges are automatically summed to the freight bill detail Total Amount.
