Integration to LTL and VLTL rates is provided by project44. This has been incorporated into the Blue Yonder External Rating Server, which is part of Transportation Planner. This is used in optimizations and in routing, rating and scheduling calls from Transportation Manager. project44 rating will allow mode selection to be made by comparing actual LTL and VLTL rates with the rates for other modes.

Volume LTL is a pricing methodology in the LTL space that is based on total linear foot usage of an LTL vehicle, rather than freight classes. It relies on carriers to identify in real-time available space within their vehicles, and on shippers to identify linear foot needs. This is a dynamic pricing model (price on day X may be different than price on day Y).
