Operation
An action that can be performed from a list or property page. Examples are: New, Delete, Duplicate, Properties, Hold, Activate.
Optimizer
Option
A miscellaneous charge for something that is not part of the base pricing structure of a tariff. Examples of options include refrigeration, insurance, or Saturday delivery. Options and conditions are the charge codes that can be assigned to each tariff/service combination.
Order Value
The actual value of goods shipped. Compare with Declared Value.
Origin
The starting point of a shipment or a shipment leg. This is the shipping location where a freight movement commences. In Transportation Manager, an origin can be a hub, distribution center, or load-at. Also see Destination.
Out of Route Distance
The additional distance that must be traveled for a load to reach all required stops. The difference between Total Distance and Direct Distance. If the Total Distance and the Direct Distance are the same, Out of Route distance will be zero. Many carriers limit the out of route percentage to around 15% to 20%.
Outbound
A term used to refer to shipments or loads that are leaving a facility, regardless of whether it is a hub, distribution center, or load-at. Note any given freight movement could be viewed by different parties as an inbound or an outbound transaction. See Inbound.
