Customize Colors

Entity views come pre-configured for immediate use. However, you may change the appearance of your entity views to better suit your needs. You can configure entity views by selecting Customize > Customize Colors located on the right-hand side of the title bar on your entity view.

The Customize Colors dialog box allows you to set the colors for displaying utilization and statuses in an entity view. The following tabs are available to customize colors for an entity view:

  • Threshold Fields
  • Note: This tab is available only for Load and Stop views. Content of the Field drop-down is different when viewed from a Load view versus a Stop view.

For each Field, you can assign a different Threshold and Color to each of a pre-defined set of Value options, and save these settings as part of your Smartbench profile.

To change a Threshold, select a cell in the Threshold column and type a new number value.

To change a Color, select a cell in the Color column and choose an option from the Select a Color dialog.

  • Row Colors
  • Note: This tab is available only for Asset, Asset Assignment, Booking, Booking Revision, Load, Optimization Request, Shipment, Shipment Detail, Shipment Leg, Skeleton Route, Stop, Transport Order, and Trip views.

This tab allows you to assign a different Rule and Color to each of a pre-defined set of Value options and save these settings as part of your Smartbench profile. Each entity type supports a different set of fields.

When a search is executed, or the entity view is refreshed, Color Rules are evaluated only when the Row Color column is selected for display. Rules are evaluated top-to-bottom on each search result. Once a rule evaluates to ‘true’ the rule color will be applied to the Row Color grid field.

Row Color can be selected for page-level sorting and is included in the Export Grid results.

For more information, see Customize Row Color.

  • Status Fields
  • This tab allows you to change the display text color for certain status fields. Colors can be configured for more than one status. Each entity type supports a different set of fields.

Show Icon when available: When selected, supported fields in list views will display a system assigned icon instead of text in the selected color. For example, the Rating Valid flag has preassigned icons associated to 'Yes' and 'No' values; when the Show Icon when available check box is selected, the icons will be displayed.

To change a Color, select a cell in the Color column and choose an option from the Select a Color dialog.

When color customization is complete, Click Save to apply changes to your profile. To revert to pre-defined system defaults, use Reset to Defaults followed by Save.

Note: Unlike Customize Layout, color customizations apply to the next created instance of the entity grid.
