Entity view
Entity views are configurable grids that display data columns for viewing and editing and provide type-specific operations for the entity. See Transportation Smartbench supported entities.
The following styles are used in an entity view as visual aids regarding field behavior. However, the styles are displayed based on settings for grids. For more information, see Results panel operations in Transportation Smartbench.
- Editable columns are displayed with purple text in the column header.
- Editable and indexed columns are displayed with bold purple text in the column header.
- Indexed and non-editable columns are displayed with bold black text in the column header.
- Hyperlinked field values in an entity view are blue and underlined.
Notes:
- Entity views are populated directly from a Search panel item, or indirectly through cascade from a summary view condition or another entity view.
- The vertical space consumed by an entity view is dynamically determined based on space not already consumed by a summary view, and the number of entity views currently open. For example, the first entity view opened consumes 100% of available results panel space. Two entity views will split this space 50% each. Three entity views will each consume one-third of the available space, and so on.
- You can adjust the height of an entity view by grabbing the bottom edge of the view (the mouse pointer appearance will change) and dragging it up/down.
- You can collapse a view by clicking anywhere in the title bar that is not occupied by an icon. Click again on the title bar to expand the view.
- Multiple open views for the same entity type are permitted. The only restriction is there may only be one open view for a named search of that type. For example, you may not have two entity views open based on a same-named entity search or cascade result.
