Results panel operations in Transportation Smartbench
Individual views in the results panel have their own set of operations. The following operations are available on the results panel title bar:
- Current Plan: Displays the current plan associated with the user. Users authorized to change their current plan can click the Select Current Plan
icon to change to another authorized plan, as needed.
-
Job Queue of User
: Displays the Jobs Queue view for the current user.
- Refresh All Panels
: Re-executes the applicable search on every grid in the Results Panel. This operation will not run if there is an incomplete transaction in any of the open entity view. For more information, see Edit entity view row.
- Quick Search
: This operation is visible only when user profile Allow Search is enabled. It presents a Search by ID dialog box for supported entity types. Use this operation to view one or more entity objects when the ID is known.
- Append to Worklist: This option directs the application to add selected entity IDs to the currently open entity worklist (if any). A new entity worklist is presented if one is not already open.
- Log
: Toggles the state of the Log. If the log is closed, this operation opens the session Log as a non-modal dialog box. If the Log is open, this operation closes it. The log is also accessed by clicking message text presented in the results panel title bar (if any).
-
Clear: Allows you to remove the logs from the Log dialog box.
-
Background Tasks: Allows you to view the list of background tasks and their statuses in the Background Tasks dialog. If the Job ID is populated, you can click on the Job ID hyperlink to view the Jobs Queue for Job Instance.
-
Close: Allows you to close the Log dialog.
- Close All Panels
: Closes all views in the results panel including list, property and map views.
- Settings
: This operation is visible only when user profile Allow List/Chart Customization is enabled. It opens the Settings dialog box where you select options to customize your Smartbench configuration. Saved changes do not refresh currently open views but are displayed on views opened subsequently. Click Cancel to exit the Settings dialog box without applying changes.
The following options are available under each tab in the Settings dialog box.
General tab:
- Titles
- Show UOM: Displays unit-of-measure tags in all relevant field labels.
- Show Currency: Displays the currency code tag in field labels of monetary fields.
- Show Date Time Format: Displays the date or date/time tag in relevant field labels.
- Show Hours: Displays the duration quantity tag “(Hours)” in the field labels that represent a duration.
- Toolbars
- Show Toolbars: Allows you to hide or display all available operations on the toolbar for an entity view. When deselected, all available operations on the toolbar will be hidden to give more space to the data grid. Right-click over the entity grid’s row selection check box to see the list of available entity operations that are hidden on the toolbar.
- Hide Drag & Drop Operations: Allows you to hide or display all operations that support drag and drop functionality on the toolbar of an entity view. When selected, activate operations supporting drag and drop will not appear in the operations toolbar, but can be performed.
- Grids
- Indicate Editable Fields: Displays editable fields in the specified format (purple text).
- Indicate Indexed Fields: Displays fields known to have database indexes in the specified format (boldface text).
Wrap Header Text: When selected, header height for top level grid doubles and all header text is wrapped to fit into this space. The system can accommodate up to 3 lines of text with the rest still truncated.
- Use Ctrl Key for Multiple Selection: When enabled, the Ctrl key on the keyboard must be used to make multiple row selections in views support multi-select (like row selection in MS-Excel); when not enabled incremental row selection in views supporting multi-select is made by clicking on the row selection check box.
- Windows
Animate Sliding Window: Controls the behavior of all slide-enabled windows (for example, maps, property pages). De-selecting this option eliminates the sliding effect when the window is opened.
- Text Area
- Enable Spell Check: When set, multi-line text fields (for example, Memo, Note) support spell-check behaviors provided by your browser.
Functional tab:
- Operations
- Enable Evaluation Mode: When set, evaluation is enabled for operations which support Evaluation Mode. Evaluation Mode performs operations in a non-persistent environment, allowing planners to set overrides as necessary for the operation to succeed, view results, and save or cancel the operation.
- Shipment Detail
Re-compute Dimensions on Quantity Change: When enabled, a change in the Quantity field in the Shipment Detail list view will re-compute the values for Units, Nominal Weight and Volume fields automatically based on the Item ID, Item Package Level ID and Content Level. Does not apply when Shipment Detail Level is Item Detail Level.
- Titles
- Reset to Defaults: Allows you to restore settings to the system default configuration.
- Advanced
- Refresh Static Data: Immediately refreshes the Smartbench generic cache to reflect recent static data modifications.
Note: This operation is hidden by default and should be hidden from most users. Based on server configuration settings, the generic cache will auto-refresh based on an interval set by the TM Administrator. Contact your TM Administrator if this operation is needed.
- Help
: Displays the OnLine Expert for the Transportation Smartbench (TSB) in a separate window.
Note: Only authorized TM Web users can change the set of authorized plans for a user. See List of User Plan Authorizations (Employee) and List of Active Plans (Employee) for more information.
Note: Deselecting this check box will replace the content of a currently open entity worklist.
