Assign a load to a new trip (Employee)
From the Transportation Manager Web user interface:
- Perform one of the following tasks:
- Display the list of trips (Employee). Click New.
- Display the list of loads in process (Employee). Select one or more loads. Click Assign to New Trip.
- Display the list of loads attached to a plan (Employee). Select one or more loads. Click Assign to New Trip.
The Create Trip screen is displayed.
- Enter the required information. At least two valid loads must be selected. Use Load Search to identify additional loads, if necessary.
- Click Submit/Finish or Submit/Manage Trip. The trip is created. The designated loads are assigned to the new trip's itinerary in the designated sequence.
From Transportation Smartbench:
- Run a search to populate a load view.
- Select the required loads.
- Click Assign to New Trip. The Create Trip dialog box is displayed.
- Enter the required information. The selected loads section displays the list of loads that are selected in the load view.
- To add additional loads to the trip, from the Load Search grid, select an appropriate load search from the Candidate Loads drop-down list and click Search. The candidate loads are displayed.
- Select the required loads and click Add.
- Click OK.
Note: At least two valid loads must be available to create a trip.
