List of Countries (Employee)

The list of countries is accessible from the System Settings module.

Transportation Manager is pre-configured with entries corresponding to most of the countries in the world. The country IDs conform to the International Standards Organization three character alphabetic format (ISO-3166-char). Cross references to other standard abbreviations are also defined.

By default, the list of countries is sorted in ascending order by Country ID.

For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.

Operations

  • Alternate Language Names: Displays the list of the names for the active user locales other than the default language of Transportation Manager. For more information, see Entity Language Descriptions/Names (Employee).
  • Address Format: See Address Format (Employee)
  • Business Hours: See Business Hours (Employee)
  • Delete: Deletes the selected country.
  • New: Creates a country.
  • Properties: Displays the properties of the selected country.
  • Each country profile contains only one screen. This screen includes a list of the states/provinces (geo-political sub-divisions) for the country. See Country fields.

Notes:

  • The Geo-Codes (Latitude / Longitude) defined at the Country level apply only for countries where coverage is not provided by any of the available distance engines. It is expected that any such country would be far from your normal sphere of operations.
  • When Country codes are created or modified (including any changes to states/provinces), the related JS files must be regenerated before these changes are reflected in the combo boxes list available countries and state/provinces.
  • See "Change the Robotic Configuration and Ports" or "Change the WebSphere Configuration" (depending on platform) in the Transportation Installation/Administration Guide for instructions on defining the "preferred" countries for your environment.
