List of Manifest Groups (Employee)

The List of Manifest Groups can be maintained from the System Entities module. While each tariff/service refers to a Manifest Group, this attribute is applicable only for tariff/services used to route/rate/schedule shipment legs following the Manifest process flow.

Normally, all shipment legs routed/rated/scheduled using a particular tariff will be placed on the same Manifest when confirmed using Shipment Confirmation (assuming other requirements for manifest consolidation are met). Shipment legs routed/rated/scheduled using different services will usually be assigned to the same Manifest if the legs refer to the same tariff.

In a minority of cases, a carrier will mandate that shipment legs for one service on a tariff be assigned to a separate manifest. The Manifest Group allows this scenario to be supported. If shipment legs for a particular service must be assigned to a separate manifest, assign a distinct Manifest Group can be assigned when configuring the tariff/service.

By default, the List of Manifest Groups is sorted in ascending order by Manifest Group ID.

Operations

Activate: Activates the selected manifest group.
Alternate Language Descriptions: Displays the list of the descriptions for the active user locales other than the default language of Transportation Manager. For more information, see Entity Language Descriptions/Names (Employee).
Deactivate: Deactivates the selected manifest group.
Delete: Deletes the selected manifest group.
Duplicate: Creates a copy of the selected manifest group.
New: Creates a manifest group.
Properties: Displays the properties of the selected manifest group.
