Rate Shop - Loads on Trip (Employee)
The Rate Shop -Loads on Trip screen can be used to view and modify the preferred selections for trailer equipment type and trailer domicile, if applicable, for each load on the trip.
Screen will be accessed for a specific tariff/service combination from the Rate Shop screen for trips. If the applicable carrier is domicile based, there will a tractor domicile and/or tractor equipment type associated with the selected tariff/service combination.
By default, this screen will present the preferred trailer equipment type for each load on the trip. If carrier is domicile based, the list of loads on this screen may also include a trailer domicile.
If trailer equipment type and/or trailer domicile is not hard committed, user will be able to override the default values. Trigger rating (using the Rate operation) to verify that the overridden values for trailer equipment type and trailer domicile are valid for the applicable carrier / tariff / service / tractor domicile / tractor equipment type.
Selecting a Tariff Service Combination
When Submit is triggered from the Rate Shop - Loads on Trip screen:
- If the Hard Commit flag in the Rate Shop section is checked, the carrier and service for the trip will be hard committed based on the tariff / service combination previously selected from the Rate Shop screen for trips. If there is a tractor equipment type and tractor domicile associated with the route, these values will also be hard committed. Trailer equipment type and (optionally) trailer domicile for each load will also be hard committed. Otherwise, any of the values associated with the selected route that are not hard committed will become soft committed.
- If scheduling is currently active for the trip but scheduling failed for the selected tariff/service combination, the "Scheduling Active" flag for the trip will be set to False when updates are performed.
Additional Operations
Note: Scheduling Information can be accessed only when the Rate Shop - Loads on Trip screen is accessed for a tariff/service combination where scheduling is active.
Note: Business Hours and Contacts can be accessed for the Origin Location for the individual load plus the location of the trailer domicile that will be servicing the load, if applicable.
