Routing Message Log (Customer/Employee)
The list of rating messages is also called routing message log. It provides failure reasons for lanes that are considered but not selected by the recent routing, rating and scheduling request or routing and rating request.
The message log is displayed for both successful and failed (that is, not even one valid lane) rating requests.
The following is the behavior of the message log in association with the rating process:
- If the rating process is already run, the corresponding message log is displayed when you click Message Log.
- If the rating process has not been run earlier, it runs when you click Message Log and the corresponding message log is displayed.
Note: The message log associated with the previous rating requests is not stored.
Each entry in the list of rating messages may include the following information:
- Carrier
- Tariff
- Service
- Equipment type
- Domicile
- Lane ID
- Failure reason with applicable variables, for the routing or scheduling process
- Failure type
The Message section displays the summary message of the current rating request.
List
By default, the list of rating messages is sorted in ascending order by the Log ID field. A sequential value is assigned to each lane that failed.
Lengthy messages can be truncated in the list format to avoid issues with column sizes. If the list has truncated strings, the export data function exports the truncated strings.
For more information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.
Properties
Click View Message to access the following details of each entry in the message log:
- Complete information about a lane
- Entire text for any truncated strings
