Route, Rate and Schedule – Shipment Legs (Carrier/Employee)
Use this screen to route, rate, and schedule shipment legs that are not attached to a load.
The Route, Rate and Schedule screen for shipment legs is displayed in view-only mode even for authorized users when either of the following are true:
- Shipment leg is currently being optimized
- Shipment leg has been attached to a manifest
Note: If a request was made to perform the Rate Shop operation for a shipment leg and the shipment leg is not currently eligible for rating updates, the Route, Rate and Schedule screen for shipment legs is displayed instead of the Rate Shop screen.
After you have created a shipment leg, you can route, rate and schedule the shipment leg only when the shipment leg is not attached to a load or a manifest.
If the Shipment Type for the Shipment is configured to not Defer A/P Rating, the route, rate and schedule process for eligible shipment legs will be triggered automatically when shipments are created or modified.
Charge Overrides defined prior to triggering the route, rate and schedule process for a shipment leg will be used to determine eligible tariff/service combinations and/or impact rating results.
Note: If Monetary Information Control field is set to No Monetary Values or No Rating Values in the user profile, then the rating and charge information sections are suppressed for the user.
