Customize column width
Every entity view column is assigned a fixed width for display by default. To expand (or reduce) the display width of one or more columns, use one of the following methods:
- Resize from the entity view
- Open the entity view from search results.
- Set your pointer over a header column boundary (the pointer image should change to two vertical bars with arrows pointing outwards), drag the boundary left or right across the header row until the desired field width is achieved and release the mouse button. Repeat until all desired columns are resized.
- Select Customize
> Customize Layout. The Customize Grid Layout dialog box is displayed.
- Select one of the following options to save your changes:
- Click Save for this Search to preserve configuration modifications for the current grid instance’s associated search item. The saved configuration will apply to all future executions of this search item.
- Click Save as Default for <entity type> to preserve the following view configuration modifications for this entity type. This configuration will apply to any search result where Save for this Search has not been performed.
- Click Save to preserve your grid configuration.
- Resize from the Customize Grid Layout dialog box. This procedure can be done in combination with other entity view customizations described in this chapter.
- Select Customize
> Customize Layout. The Customize Grid Layout dialog box is displayed.
- Select any row in the Width column in the Selected columns list.
- Enter the value and press Enter key on the keyboard. Repeat for all the required column width adjustments.
- Select one of the following options to save your changes:
- Click Save for this Search to preserve configuration modifications for the current grid instance’s associated search item. The saved configuration will apply to all future executions of this search item.
- Click Save as Default for <entity type> to preserve the following view configuration modifications for this entity type. This configuration will apply to any search result where Save for this Search has not been performed.
