Asset Schedule view
The asset schedule view presents a configurable timeline orientation of asset assignments arranged by asset, and supports the execution of asset assignment operations.
The asset schedule view consists of the following elements:
- Title bar: Displays the asset schedule asset assignment IDs. The title bar also displays Asset Schedule view header operations.
- Operations toolbar: Displays asset assignment and associated entity-specific operations associated to this view.
- Timeline: Displays the list of assets based on the asset assignments used to open this view. This view is displayed below the operations toolbar.
A new instance of the asset schedule view is created when any of the following events occur:
- Processing an asset schedule search that does not already have an open view
-
Selecting one or more objects in an entity view followed by the Asset Schedule operation when no unpinned Asset Schedule view is open.
Timeline
By default, the Timeline displays all assets and assignments associated with the selected objects used to instantiate the view. This behavior allows users to view all assignments for these assets.
Remove appears as an operation in instances that are not opened from a search panel item. Use it to remove assets that are no longer of viewing interest. This operation will always prompt for confirmation.
Ad-hoc “quick filters” may be applied to the current instance by populating the Asset Type and Asset ID fields located directly above the asset list.
The timeline is rendered based on the current configuration for number of days, the duration of each timeslot, and theme. The basis for the calendar day used to render the initial presentation is the current system date and time.
Ad-hoc adjustments to the timeline configuration may be applied to the current instance, using specific Asset Schedule view header operations. These adjustments apply only as long as the instance remains open.
Each row represents one asset.
Information regarding an asset assignment (for example, Asset Type, Start Date/Time, End Date/Time) can be viewed by hovering the mouse over a bar representing the asset assignment. For some hover fields selected for display (such as violations), data will appear only if the value indicates an exception.
Timeline configuration changes can be permanently applied through Customize Layout. Customizations include asset filters, asset list field selection, timeline duration controls, default theme and hover text fields. Saved selections impact the current instance and all future asset schedule instances.
Bars rendered in the timeline represent the defined duration (i.e., start and end) of existing asset assignments.
When an asset assignment is selected, the bar item will have bold border. Multiple bar items can be selected by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking several bars in succession.
See Themes for information on the visual presentation of timeline bars related to asset assignments.
