Create Optimization Request – Select Loads (Employee)

Use this screen to indicate the loads to be sent to the optimizer for re-planning. Loads must also meet fixed eligibility requirements. See Select loads to be sent to Optimizer.

You can access this page only when the Include Eligible Loads check box on the Create Optimization Request page is selected. Use the Search icon to navigate from the Create Optimization Request page to this page. Click Continue on this page to update the active set of load filter criteria and return to the Create Optimization Request page.

You can use the Save Search capability to save filter criteria for later use, or use the Select Saved Search to restore and use previously saved filter criteria.

If you selected Include Eligible Loads on the Create Optimization Request page but do not navigate to this page, filtering is performed using the most recently defined search criteria for the current user.

Filtering of loads for optimization may not occur immediately. Selection of eligible loads is one of the first steps performed when the actual optimization process commences. Optimization may not start immediately for the Optimization Requests being created by this operation if other requests are still active.

Notes:

  • Filter criteria apply only to loads not currently attached to a trip or booking. Loads attached to trips or bookings are included when the corresponding trip or booking is selected for optimization.
  • Range of Start Dates is one of the filter criteria on this screen. Start Date/Time in the load table is populated when scheduling results are captured for the load. If routing/rating/scheduling results for the load are destroyed, Start Date/Time is cleared if keep Load Start / End Dates in Global Settings is not selected. Therefore, if a range of Start Dates is used where both the From and To dates contain valid dates, any load where routing/rating/scheduling results are not currently valid are excluded.
