Select loads to be sent to Optimizer

If the Include Eligible Loads check box on the Optimization Request (Employee) page is selected, loads not attached to trips or bookings will be selected if they satisfy filter criteria as specified on the Create Optimization Request – Select Loads (Employee) page AND also meet the following fixed criteria:

  • Load division matches division for the optimization request
  • The load is not currently attached to a plan, or is already attached to the plan for the optimization request
  • Optimization Request ID for load is not assigned
  • Load not currently engaged in carrier sequential tendering process
  • Scheduling for the load is enabled
  • Load is not currently suspended
  • Spot rate not defined for load
  • Stops exist for the load
  • Load has not overridden a hard commitment for an attached shipment leg
  • The operational status of the load is not Closed or Canceled.
  • Financial status of the load should not be Voucher Created or Voucher Matched.

  • Apply Resource Constraint flag for the load should be true.

  • Loads should not have an asset assignment with violations.

  • Load’s resources should not be hard committed and Return to Origin Domicile Date/Time Overridden must be False.

  • No Overrides on Non-Live Pick-Up/Drop-off

  • If the operational status is Open, the global setting for open load composition selection applies:
    • If Exclude All Unapproved, the load approved flag must be true
    • If Include All Unapproved, the load approved flag may be true or false
    • If Exclude Unapproved Non-Skeleton, the load approved flag must be true or the load source is Skeleton Load
  • Planning status for the load is Picked, Fixed Stops, Packed, or Locked (that is, not Free)
  • If planning status for the load is Picked, Fixed Stops, or Packed, at least one of the following statements is true:
    • Load operational status is Open, Planned or Tender Rejected.
    • Load operational status is Tendered or Tender Accepted and carrier is configured to allow new shipments on load after tender
    • Continuation allowed flag for the load is true
    • Load includes at least one stop where the Dock Schedule Status is Required and not Computed and pick-up and/or delivery has yet to be reported
  • If planning status for the load is Locked, at least one of the following statements is true:
    • Load operational status is Open, Planned or Tender Rejected and one or more of carrier / service / equipment type are not hard committed (where hard committed flag is false and the corresponding number of committed shipment legs counter is zero)
    • Continuation allowed flag for the load is true
    • Load includes at least one stop where the Dock Schedule Status is Required and not Computed and pick-up and/or delivery has yet to be reported
  • If a dock commitment exists for one or more of the load’s stops, there are no applicable Dock Commitment violations for these dock commitment(s).

Note: Loads will be updated with the applicable Optimizer Request ID when they are selected for re-planning. This ID will be removed when the optimization process completes. Loads will be unavailable for many functions in Transportation Manager while re-planning is active.
