List of Options for Tariff Service (Employee)

Tariff services have charges associated with them. These charges can be classified as either conditions or options.

Conditions defines the primary charges for the service.

For example: You might charge by weight (WGT) or by pieces (PCS). Options are accessorial / miscellaneous charges such as, for example, evening delivery or insurance.

List

The List of Options for a Tariff Service will present all the Options for a single Tariff Service combination. By default, the Options will be sorted in ascending order by Sequence Priority.

For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.

Properties

The Tariff Option property page has four tabs:

  • General: Contains information related to payable carrier (or responsible customer)
  • Rating: Contains specific rating information (unit type, minimum/ maximum rating units, range, base charge, minimum/ maximum charge)
  • Details: Contains information related to charge supersedes and net-effect calculations where applicable
  • Accounting: Contains information related to G/L type, G/L accounts, and maximum pay variance allowed during the matching process of a voucher charge and freight bill detail charge .

See Tariff Service Charge fields.

Note: You can change the priority sequence of any option by moving this up or down within the list. If filter criteria have been specified on the corresponding Search page, the results of the Move Up and Move Down operations will not be visually intuitive if the other Option impacted by the operation is not currently presented on the list. Similarly, if the default settings for Sorting Control have been altered, the other affected Option for the Move Up and Move Down operations may not be presented on the list in the previous or next row. If the Move Up or Move Down operation would cause the sequencing rules for Supersede Charge ID and/or Precede Charge ID to be violated for either of the affected tariff charges, the operation will not be allowed.
