Shipping Location fields - Details 1 tab

Defaults and Constraints

  • Maximum Shipment Weight: The maximum weight of freight that can be picked or dropped at this shipping location at one time, expressed in the system weight unit of measure.
  • Maximum Shipment Volume: The maximum volume of freight that can be picked or dropped at this shipping location at one time, expressed in the system volumetric unit of measure which is the cubic equivalent of the system length unit of measure.
  • Must be First Stop: Indicates whether this shipping location must be the first pickup stop when used as a pick location on a multi-pick load, or whether the location must be the first delivery stop when used as a drop location on a multi-drop load.
  • Must be Last Stop: Indicates whether this shipping location must be the last pickup stop when used as a pick location on a multi-pick load, or whether the location must be the last delivery stop when used as a drop location on a multi-drop load.
  • Boundary Rule: The degree to which shipments from different shipping locations can be combined when placed together in a single trailer.
  • Minimum Lead Time: The minimum number of hours required for pickups at this shipping location. Scheduling will incorporate this interval into any schedule that includes this location such that arrival date/time at the location is at least this number of hours after the anchor date/time for scheduling. This value will supersede value defined for carrier when non-zero. Minimum Lead Time is not meaningful for Consignees.

Equipment Dimensions

  • Maximum Length: The maximum length of equipment allowed at this shipping location, expressed in the system length unit of measure.
  • Maximum Width: The maximum width of equipment allowed at this shipping location, expressed in the system length unit of measure.
  • Maximum Height: The maximum height of equipment allowed at this shipping location, expressed in the system length unit of measure.

Trailer Information

  • Maximum Number of Trailers Allowed: Maximum number of trailers per load allowed at the location. For instance, if the location allows doubles trailers then set this value to 2 to mean that singles and doubles are handled. By default, this field is set to 1.
  • Total Trailer Length Allowed: Indicates the total length of trailers allowed at the location. In case of double and triple trailers, this value indicates the total length of all trailers.
  • Maximum Number of Trailers Handled: Number of trailers that can be handled at a time from multi trailer load. For instance, a location allows double trailer but can handle only one trailer at a time.

Corporate Information

  • Corporate ID 1: A corporate identifier.
  • Corporate ID 2: A second corporate identifier.

General Attributes

  • G/L Region: The G/L region (zone) for this shipping location. Mandatory when the G/L Region dimensions in the G/L Account Designation Matrix have been activated. Address for shipping location must fall within the area defined by the zone designated as the G/L Region.
  • G/L Category: The G/L category for this shipping location. Mandatory when the G/L Category dimensions in the G/L Account Designation Matrix have been activated.
  • Appointment Required: Indicates whether an appointment is required for deliveries or pick-ups at this shipping location.
  • External ID 1: An external identifier that can be used for cross-reference purposes (for example, EDI).
  • External ID 2: A second external identifier that can be used for cross-reference purposes (for example, EDI)

Locations

  • Primary Shipping Location: If specified, the Location ID and Type will refer to another shipping location. All locations that refer to a Primary Shipping Location, plus the referenced location itself, will be viewed as a single stop when computing the number of primary stops for a load, trip, non-operational freight transaction or multi-stop rate quotation.
