Shipping Location fields - General tab

Location

  • Location ID: The ID for the shipping location. It is user-assigned, mandatory and cannot be modified after the location type has been created. The combination of Location ID and Location Type uniquely defines a shipping location.
  • Location Type: There are four types of shipping location: hub, consignee, load-at and distribution center. Location Type is assigned based on the context for the create/duplicate request and cannot be modified after the shipping location is created.
  • Location Name: User maintainable description for the shipping location. It is mandatory. It can be modified in Update mode.
  • Status: Possible values are Active and On Hold. Status is controlled using explicit operations from the List of Shipping Locations.

Logistics Grouping

  • Division: The division for the shipping location. It is optional for users that are not restricted to a specific division. It can be modified in Update mode if the Enforce Division and Logistics Group Relationships flag in the Global Settings is False. If a division is not specified, shipping location can be used in all divisions.
  • Logistics Group: The logistics group for the shipping location. It is optional for users that are not restricted to a specific logistics group. It can be modified in Update mode if the Enforce Division and Logistics Group Relationships flag in the Global Settings is False. If a logistics group is not specified, shipping location can be used for all logistics groups.

Address

  • Address: Addresses for shipping locations are maintained using the Work with Address (Customer/Employee) page which can be accessed using the view details () icon. Address information on the General tab is always presented in read-only format.

Contact Information

  • Contact Information: Contact information at the shipping location level is used when an individual contact for a role is not defined. This information is editable in Update mode. Contact information consists of the following individual fields: primary phone number, secondary phone number, fax number, email address, URL and Language.
